American Arms Silver II O/U questions
I am thinkning about buying an American Arms Silver II O/U in 20ga. Found one NIB at a local shop and the price is fair. Any opinions on these? Also, do they use their own choke tubes, or is there another brand that they use (ie. Remington, Mossberg, etc)????

The Silver II was a mid grade off brand O/U of reasonable quality. American Arms is no longer in business so the gun most likely will have no warranty. So Id say a good price would be 350-400...Dont know about the tubes 0 -
I have had an American Arms side by side 12 gauge and O/U Silver II 12 gauge for 10 years. Neither is set up for choke tubes. The side by side has taken a beating deer and pheasant hunting and has performed fine. The O/U has been used less, but I've never had a problem. At the time, I paid $300 for each, both were used. Prior owner had used O/U for trap.
I also had an American Arms 12 gauge side by side with choke tubes and selective ejectors. I picked it up at auction for $150. Worked great, but didn't really need it. Traded it for a new 3 1/2" turkey gun.
They are not high end, but have worked well for me.0 -
OOHHH!!! After reading the previous posts, maybe I had better hold of on this purchase. I didn't realize that American Arms was out of business. This particular gun has been in this guy's shop for about three years even though it's NIB. He's got $595 on it, but I think he'll go down to $500. I'm just not gonna do it, now. Thanks guys....
