Colt New Frontier 22

I have recently purchased a Colt with serial # g1188xx . Can anyone tell me the year and some history? I have looked on proofhouse already with no success.

  I have noticed some have engraving at the bottom of the frame between the grip panels.
  Does this add to the value?

  EDIT:I can understand why the peacemakers sell for more.
  The new frontier is a little aberrant with the adj sight.
