Is Benelli M1 & Super 90 the same?
I bought my first shotgun today, a Benelli Super 90 Montefeltro 12 ga (26" barrel), and noticed a Benelli M1 in the store window that looked like the same gun. My Super 90 was listed as $899 and the M1 was listed as $799. Are these the same shotgun? Mine was new with a 1/4" square scar on the bottom of the front stock so I got it for $749. Just curious if I got a $50 or $150 discount. Thanks for any info.

Yes, it is known as the Super 90 M1. They also had another model that was selective semi-auto/pump. It was called the Super 90 M3. 0 -
I talked to the gun store today and they said they are different. The montefeltro has a longer forehand stock, a nickel finish action and it looks like a better quality wood. Same design just a little fancier.

There are various grades of the M1, but it uses the same receiver as the Montefeltro just in a fancier grade as you mentioned (kinda like a Remington ADL vs. BDL). The Executive models are even fancier yet but they all use the same type receiver that accepts 2 3/4" and 3" shells (but NOT the 3.5" shells like the Super Black Eagle).
The box on my M3 said "Super 90 M3" and it had a different receiver that allowed it to selectively be pump or semi-auto.

The 10mm - either you've got it, or you don't get it...0
