Shot one alot, no malfunctios, comfortable to hold , easy to carry, pretty accurate for its length. Some earlier owners had problems with their magazines, this seems to have been addressed. Very good backpack/camp pistol, care mine for little critters while deer hunting and ridding the ponds of turtles.
Would recommend CCI ammo.0 -
Have sold several of these in the past few weeks without a complaint. CCI Stinger ammo is the best we have found for reliable function. Standard velocity stuff does not function well. 0 -
Bought one for my wife 2 years ago. If you don't have the patience to try different types of ammo, then forget it. Ronald is 100% right about the Stingers. My wife's will chew through Remington Golden Bullet also all day long. Great little plinker.

I love mine. Its not as durable as my Glock, but it didnt nearly as much either. First 300 or so rounds I had some FTF, or hammer not hitting hard enough problems, perhaps about 15 rounds. Since that break in period, I have had few if any problems. One annoying quirk is that the safety sometimes like to switch "on" during shooting. I have heard others complain about this too, but I dont believe this to be a wide spread problem. So as long as you dont have too many expectations from this little piece, its a fun little gun. 0 -
I like the p22 but it take about 400 rounds and a few good cleanings the whole thing magazines also...its ammo sensative like most 22 auto pistols....mine likes the Winchester high-speed solid point copper coated....my Berettas also like the same ammo so to be honest I buy only the solid point high speed....I did some tests on full size telephone books and the 22 high speed from a 3-4 inch barrel does some serious damage to those telephone books...I put down a large hog who was hit by a car...that solid point 22 is a killer make no mistake about it ...one head shot and that big hog twitched twice and it was lights out....try the Winchester X solid point 40gr copper coated you woulndt be sorry....the P22 is a good pistol with the right ammo Billy 0 -

I had one for a while , fun little gun , shot good untill the darn safety started droping during firing , that really is a pain ,, I traded mine off because of it , but over all if you don't mind that this may happen to your gun and don't expect too much out of it, not too bad of a little shooter 0
