Tajjn or boeboe - do you know if there is a way to truly verify if it is a pre '89 import, besides threaded muzzle and bayo. lug?

Dano - The picture is of a stamped metal receiver rifle. I would go for a milled receiver for that money if possible. I just bought an Arsenal SA M-7 that has a milled receiver and I very pleased with the action (smooth) and its accuracy. For $650 you really ought to check these little babies out.

The way to check would be the receiver markings, I think this seller has a high enough rating that you wouldn't have much to worry about. I have noticed his different AK47 auctions for over a year now.

I believe the earlier Polytech imports had folding spike bayonets and later ones had the detachable knife bayonets. Also,(I believe) the muzzle brake is a later design. Early brakes were a short tube cut off at about 45 degrees; really a deflector, not a brake.
