Revolvers are fine as a personal proction gun. Although they are heavier than auto loaders and a little more difficult to conceal due to the bulky nature of them. If it works for you and you are comfortable with it there shouldn't be a problem with carrying it.

If you ain't got a sense of humor you got no business bein here!

I've never been fond of the Taurus revolvers, semi autos are nice guns. If your going with a revolver then I'd suggest a Ruger.

A good friend of mine ordered a 606 through my shop a couple of years ago. He really likes it, I've shot it, and I like it. It is very accurate for a 2 inch. I prefer it to my S&W Mod. 19 2 1/2 inch. He has let a couple of customers shoot it, and both ordered, but the second ordered a 605. Same thing--rave reviews. So, now the friend has decided that the 606 is a bit bulky and he would like a 605 also. I tried two of the largest distributors and neither had the gun in stainless, which he specified, and one distributor said that they were sold out of the stainless, but still had a few of the blue models in stock. He said that they had no order in for a resupply of 605's, and in his experience that means that the factory is either getting ready to discontinue the model, or do something different. This is not unimaginable, as Taurus once discontinued their famous Model 85, which was brought back after a short absence due to the demand of dealers and shooters. I personally find Taurus revolvers to be of excellent quality, and own several myself. I would recommend that if you decide you want a 605 you get right on it, because apparently they are being phased out. Perhaps this is in favor of a new or improved model, but you run the risk of losing out by waiting too long.
