Rem 581/582 - 580 ??

Did remington ever make a single shot version ofthe 581/582 .22 bolt action series rifles? Or did they only have the single shot converter for those models? If they did, I would guess it would have been called the model 580? Thanks!

  Saxon, the Remington 581 was my first as well. It was clip fed.
  
  I still have it, less a broken front sight. It wears two square pieces of 3 X 5 card under the barrel chamber and will consistently group at 3/4" or less at 60 yds with CCI mini-mags.
