That's something I don't think I'd want to do. Colt stopped making the Deltas because of frame cracking. 10mm is a pretty potent round and a little much for the 1911 frame. I'd get a Glock or a Smith already chambered for it. There you go, my 2 cents worth.

Get a gun already made for it... Kimber and Dan Wesson make custom quality guns in the 1911 pattern chambered for 10mm.

trav, I'm with the other guys on this one. Know someone that is a Colt fanatic, would love a 10mm but won't buy the Colt because long term probs.

Since you already have a Glock (assuming you like it[}:)][;)]), go with the Glock in 10mm. Won't break the bank, quality gun. My $.02

Got a new gun for my ex-wife.....pretty good trade, huh?

Sell your 9mm, get a Glock 20 or 29 then buy an aftermarket .22lr kit for cheap plinking (a lot cheaper than the 9mm)(and a .357 SIG and .40 S&W barrels for variety if you desire). That way you have the full power of a 10mm for defensive use and cheap plinking for fun.
