Virginia FFL
I am moving to Virginia soon and was wondering if anything special is required by that state to transfer my current FFL from Idaho other than the usual tax resale license, comply with zoning restrictions etc. Thanks guys.

contact the batf off their website. they will give you the straight skinny. yes there are restrictions for zoning and you will get an inspection. be prepared. what part of va are you moving to? let me guess...dc area. im from hampton area. since 80% of all retired military live in va, you wont have problems with military weapons bans. there is a 1 gun a month law in effect as well. you can get around it with a state police request for purchase or transfer of estate inventory. i do it all the time. best shows are in the richmond fair grounds and hampton colisieum. fredricksburg has one but not as big. bottom line, go toward the ocean for shows. as you go towards the west va line, it turns blackpowder. imagine that! lots of clubs and lots of shooting. welcome aboard!
