Kahr PM9 or Springfield XD 3"
Price is not the issue for me on this choice. I normally carry concealed in front pocket. Want a lightweight 9mm. Heard great things about the Springfield, but I am pretty sure it would be too much for pocket carry. I have heard both good and bad about the Kahr PM9.
Anyone with experience with either of these pistols out there, and specifically, carrying an XD 3" or Glock 26 (similar sized), especially IWB? Thanks for the input.

I like the Kahr. It maks a very good CCW. My 2 cents [8D]

I have the K40 and never heard anything bad except the weight. By vote for the Kahr instead of another rip-off captive import from Springfield.

I have a PM9 and do like it. It is light enough and small enough that even a friend who is just a stick can successfully conceal it. It seems to be very manageable and quite accurate for self defence purposes. Only the very hottest loads seem to sting and not bad at that. I know the price can make you think it's a little steep at first but the more you handle it the better it grows on you. The XD I think is probably a quality arm but it seems wider and bulkier, sort of like a sawed off Glock. The Kahr is 0.9 inches wide. I don't know the width of the XD. 0 -
There really is no comparision ... PM9 is designed for carry, especially pocket carry. XD isn't!
And don't get caught up in the "flap" over S'field and the origin of the XD ... hell Kahr is owned/ran by the son of Sun Yung Moon founder and head "beam" of the "moonies", ya remember all of those eager young folks hopping around and chanting in airports and other public places ... or maybe your to young ... any way Kahr makes good guns, XD is a good gun forget the rest or stick to USofA companies that still mfg. here in the USofA and not just assemblers of parts from offshore either ...
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0
