I have recently purchased the SIG 239. This firearm is easy to conceal and reliable. No malfunctions at the range (500 rounds). Thought I would post my two cents worth. I used to carry a Glock 17.

    I just bought a used Sig-239. It does not have any West Germany markings on it. Does that mean that it was made in the US? Would the gun be woth more if it was made in Germany?

    The P239 was introduced in 1996, and none will be marked "Made in Germany".Not sure about ALL the parts, but the frame slide and bbl were made in US. Enjoy your gun . I purchased one when they first came out, and carry it daily.I don't think you can buy a better semi handgun than a SIG.
