Help with info and value on Remington shotgun
I have an old Remington shotgun...i believe it to be a model 10? It is a pump with the following serial #
U70412
It's in good condition, not great, but fairly good. Can anyone tell me how old this is and an approx value. I am guessing it is vintage 1908-1914? But that;s just a guess.
Thanks
Dave

They made one called the "Remington Repeating Shotgun" with patent dates of Feb.3rd,1903 and May 18th,1905 from 1907 to 1910. They changed the name to the model 10 (or 10A) in 1911. Overall they were made from 1907 to 1929. Can't help with the specific year off the ser.#.-- In The Blue book lists either version at $150 in 80% condition,$200 in 95% condition.-- The 2004 Standard Catalog Of Firearms lists them at $200 in Fair condition, $250 in good condition and $300 in Very good condition.Hope this helps................[8D] 0 -
Thank you, that helps a lot. Mine has those 2 patent dates on it, so i can assume that it is not the model 10, but is the 'remington repeating shotgun". Sounds like it is worth about $200 or thereabouts.
Thanks again

I estimate your gun was made in 1911. I only have the numbers for 1913 which was serial 95,317 to 115,104 for a total of 19,787 that year. Total production for all years was 275,452. The early model 10's were not marked as such. Yours is probably a model 10. 0
