Springfield M-14 Special
I have a Springfield M-14 Special. It has a factory scope mount welded to the side, a Macmillan stock, no full auto selector lever, about a 3 lb. trigger pull and has a 5 (not a 7) digit serial number. It is still packed in the cannon grease from the factory. What I want to know is what scope and/or bipod would it of had from the factory and what is it worth? Could someone please enlighten me? In short I really want to know what I have. Ztangman@hotmail.com

Yes it's really marked M-14 Special and still in the box. I've been around guns all my life but never seen a factory mounted scope on this type of body except for an M-21. The whole setup looks like an M-21 but it says M-14 Special. All the M14 I remember had 7 digit serial not 5. I'll be honest; I don't know what I have.[?] 0 -
I'll be honest back ... not sure either. Can you post some pix or if you can't do that and have pix send them to me and I'll post them. Definately like a good mystery. Also, if the box has markings get pix of that as well.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
