The S&W 61 was made from 1970-1974. They were never a very expensive gun. Offered in .22LR only, they were made in blued or nickel finish. Although not extremely common today, they don't bring big money unless they are like new and even then, they will be in the low to mid $200's or so depending on region. 0 -

Should be with the semi-autos. Its called the ESCORT.
Love them Pre-64's!!!!-Bob0 -
This model was pretty much a flop. I believe that you would be hard pressed to get $200 for one that is NIB
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
thanks for the information

While not highly collectable, they certainly bring more than $200 if NIB. The NIB and like-NIB ones I have seen are $250 and up, depending on the "dash" model, finish and condition.
I have an early "no-dash" Model 61 and find it an intersting gun design that is mostly reliable (a bit bullet shape sensitive) and fun to shoot.0
