Winchester 43
Anyone know what year Winchester started to factory drill and tap
for 'scope mounts?
for 'scope mounts?

I recently acquired this rifle chambered for 218 Bee. The receiver h is drilled for a one piece scope base. How do I go about finding such a base? The receiver has 3 holes drilled and taped. Should I take it to a gunsmith and have another hole drilled? Weaver doesn't list such an item. 0 -
It would depend entirely on condition, but as the 32-20 is the rarest of the 43s even a rat is going to be pricey. I kind of watch the auctions for 43s, and I haven't seen a 32-20 ever on them. I suspect one in half decent shape would bring in excess of $700.00-$800.00.
But that's just a guess, because they are so rare. You see the .218 and the .22 Hornet mostly.

Thanks guy, found one for 1250 and another for 1500. The first was sold immediately and the next I'll pass...
