Remington 74 Sportsman

What can you guys tell me about the Remington Sportsman 74? I bought one today at the gun shop. It is in excellent shape, has a sling, 3x9x40 scope, and a plain stock. I was told that this particular model was only made in .30/06. Paid $200 for it. Just couldn't say no!!!!

  Nice rifle, its basicly a Plain Jane version of the 742 for which i own several, Just keep the chamber clean and you will have a Good reliable Deer buster.

  The 74 Sportsman is actually a "plain jane" version of the 7400; both are an upgrade over the 742 action-wise.
