Nikon Spotter XL??

I am looking at getting a Nikon Spotter XL. I do not have to buy it so money is not the issue. Just wondering how good is it? Is it as good as the price tag indicates? Thanks for any info.

  I cannot speak directly to the spotter, I have no experience. I do have experience with binos, and rifle scopes and Nikon makes decent optics. One of their binos is considered the top birding bino, and they are really, really fine. Their rifle scopes are also quite good and I rate them just behind or right with Burris and Leupold. I don't think you would be sorry if you were paying, hard to see how you can loose for free. If you don't like it, you can send it to me, I will give it a very good home!

  Okay HeDog, you are first on my list if I get spotting scope ring from the recoil[:D]. It was a service award option from work. I picked it over the Bose wave radio/cd player because it seemed to have a higher retail value. At least that is what I told my wife.[;)]
