remington 700 DM synthetic stock

Is there any difference in the Rem 700 DM synthetic stocks marked magnum, from the ones that a standard barrled action comes in?

  I believe the magnum stocks allow for the slightly heavier barrel contour of the magnum caliber rifles.............. [8D]

  You are correct. The magnums will have a slightly larger barrel channel.
