1911 conversion kit
i have a stainless colt combat commander. would a regular ceiner slide fit my frame? would it fit a 5 inch gold cup? are cieners good coversion kits? i dont need the "hot rod" slide just a regular one. what are the prices for new ones and used ones runnning? tuition is puttin a dent in the bank account and 22 is cheaper than 45.

I have a Ciener conversion kit and a Colt Ace II kit also. IMHO the Ciener kit is much better. Only negative is that the slide doesn't stay back after the last shot. The Ace kit of mine works best using hyper velocity ammo. The ciener says DON'T use hyper ammo. I shoot the bulk box of remington gold tips that Wallmart sells for under ten bucks. Shoot 500 to 1,000 rounds at a time with almost no feed or ejection problems. Get the Ciener and a bunch of extra mags. You'll love it. Pay the extra bucks and get the platinum cup version, with adjustable rear target sight.
