Remington interchangable????

Does anyone know if the model 48 and 1148 stocks are interchangable?

  i believe they are within gauges (12 ga to 12 ga.)just make sure you install the stock bearing plate.

  there may be some minor internal cuts that may need sanding on the grip neck where it mates to the back of the receiver. otherwise, it should. but, if you are trying to put a field stock on a skeet or trap gun or vise versa, you may have width issues to deal with on the grip.
