10mm Velocity in 7" barrel.
I have an Iwindale Arms Javelina 1911 type 10mm longslide 7" barrel handgun.
My question is, if a 175gr bullet comes out of a 5" barrel at 1290fps producing 649ft lbs, then what would it be comming out of a 7" barrel?

There is a point of deminishing return on hand gun ammunition. 10 inch barrel will give you the most bang for the buck with most hand gun ammo. My best guess for your hand gun is 200 fps faster. My 2 cents. [8D]

In my 6.5" 610, I generally get 5% faster than listed for fast powders such as bullseye, and 20% for powders such as Longshot or HS7. I effectively have a 8.25" barrel because of the cylinder length, but lose a little to the cylinder gap.

Find someone with a chrony and find out. 0 -
I keep meaning to skip buying and gun and spend the money on a chrono and some other much needed equiptment, but I just keep running into people going thru divorces or tough times selling guns cheap. 0
