I have a Hi Power serial#77C577XX
Is the year of manufacture 1977?
And the model a C? And what does the model C mean?

  I am in need of a site or information to identify my Browning Hi Power's age and original finish.

  Hi-Power is a reference to the magazine capacity.It was developed by John Browning just before his death in the late 1920.It was the first of the double stack 9mm. It is also refered to as the 1935GP.Gp stands for Gran-Puissence which is french for great firepower.
