Remington mod. 11 ???

A friend is looking to purchase a Remington model 11 12 ga. shotgun. It's the Remington made on the Browning patent. Serial # is 760xxx. He has two questions, approx. date of manufacture, and approx. value. Thanks is advance. 308

    Forgot to describe the Remington mod. 11. Fair to Good, no rust, no deep scratched. Bluing is faded.

    shooter grade m-11's usualy sell for about $100/150+-

    The gun was made in 1945. A standard grade gun in good shape usually goes for about $200 from what I have seen (northern AZ).

    If the Remington was made in 1945, it just might be a military arm.
    Then the prices quoted would be extremely low. You neglected to mention the bore condition and if the barrel was ribbed. If not military, and the barrel does have a factory rib, the barrel alone
    would likely be worth more than the entire gun-condition dictacting.

    Thanks for the replies, guys. Don't know about it being produced for the military, one thing though, it has a short barrel maybe 20" at most. It has a factory looking front bead, don't think it was cut down. Don't know any history. A friend showed it to me yesterday, he asked me to find out what it is worth, so he can make the owner an offer. Thanks again. 308[8D]

    Didn't notice any U.S. markings, but wasn't looking for them, looked like it was blue rather that green.
