HELP ; Rem 700 to 720 Stock Conversion

Anyone have any info or help on how hard or how to convert a Remington 700 stock to fit a Remington 720 or 721 ??????? I can pick up some nice stocks for under $20, so would be cheaper than paying the $50 plus for an original stock.....HELP
