How to remove the grenade launcher from Yugo SKS

I drove the pin out and heated it to where it would scorch paper and tried to unscrew it, to no avail. Anyone done this before?

step one: HACKSAW
step two: recrown the BBL
step three: touch up finish with a BLUEING PEN

go to www.surplusrifle.com and you can get lots of good info on military surplus rifles and how to make changes. Plus go to the general discussion forum and check with mark Christian or some of his posts which already explain how to do this. (at least in theory)

i removed one of these, they unscrew. check for two pins.

Mike - Which way to "un-screw" right or left?

Also ... what did you do then? cut and re-crown, muzzel break?

I bought one a well used one a while back, I don't really care for the granade launcher, but I doubt I'll actually shoot it much so its not really a big deal ... just looking for some options ...
