Need Anschutz Experts For Info on Rifles
I have a couple of old Anschutz rifles in .22lr Both are single shot and are described as followed: Gun #1 has a 23" barrel with fixed sights and has J.G.Anschutz Germaniawaffenwerk A.G. Zella-Mehlis / Thur. and on the barrel near the rec. it says: Original-JGA-Karabiner and below it says cal, 22 long rifle. On top of the rec. it has JGA encircled and then serial # below it on the right side of rec. The left side of rec. has the Eagle N proof and so does the right side of the barrel. The stock has a schnabel forend with grooves on both sides and has a metal buttplate. Gun #2 is as followed: has a 23.5" barrel and appears to be a Military Training rifle. It has a full length wood stock with sling attachment on the side. The gun has an adjustable rea sight from 25-200 meters. In front of the rear sight on the barrel it says Anschutz Germaniawaffenwerk A.G. Zella-Mehlis / Thur and then says Cal,22 long rifle. The top of the rec. has JGA encircled on it and then serial # 590 On the left side or rec. it has the Eagle N proof and so does the left side of barrel. It also has a metal buttplate. Also on the bottom of the stock just behind the pistol grip it has Bartels stamped into the wood. If anyone knows what models these are or history and values, Please reply. Thanks!

Only thing I can help you with is the approximate date of production.
The Nazi's established the "Eagle N" as proof mark in 1939.
Chances are the production of .22 rimfire rifles was curtailed during the early years of the Second World War.
My Wag is that your rifles were produced, circa 1939 - 1941.

Only one other thing comes to mind, regarding rifle #2.
This general type of rifle was made by many different manufacturers in Germany, starting in the 30's.
There known as "DSM" = DEUTSCHES SPORTMODELL
Supposedly they were superseded in the late 30's with a magazine fed repeater, that had more military features, called the "KKW".
Obviously since yours was manufactured after 1939, this wasn't always true.
