Worth/ type of Enfield
Hi I bought an Enfield from my dad's friend and I was wondering how much it is worth and what type it is, like is it a standard inf issue or is it a sniper version (I wish). Here is what I have seen so far on the gun
U.S. Property
1942 Sno4 Mk1
It has what looks like a royal crown and I can't quite tell what this symbol is, it looks like a sickle with a saber going trough it I am going to try and scan it in. It is in respectivly .303 british caliber. I will post more info when I re look through it.
Cheers,
Lee

Your Short Magazine Lee Enfield rifle was manufactured during WWII in the US, probably by Savage-Stevens. The US Property marking indicates that we "loaned" it to the Brits, even though it remained our property. It was the standard issue British rifle during WWII; there IS a sniper version.
It would probably sell for $50-300, depending upon condition.

lend-lease piece ... value depends on shape if it is in typical or average shape you'll say $150 for it. If you paid your dad's buddy more than $150 your probably not going to be a happy camper unless there is something unique about the rifle that would kick up the value.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
One thing I've learned about military issue firearms_ they were issued in the bazillions and unless they were unique for some reason or other (such as they were used to assassinate the Chancellor or some other head of state) they are not rare. Great for talking points (and do not underestimate the value of that). Therfor you will find a great many others with similiar guns. 0
