Kahr MK40 or PM40
Anyone have any shooting experience with the Kahr MK40 (stainless version) or the PM40 (polymer version)? I'm looking for a small CCW for use here in MN once I take the course. I recently sold my Glock 36 due to the fact I didn't like how it felt in my hand and it wasn't much smaller than my Springfield XD9. I would really like to go with a larger round for carry gun without too much bulk or weight. I'm assuming the MK40 would handle the recoil better since it's a heavier gun. Any thoughts? And yes, I have looked at the Tomcats, Seecamps, and KelTecs. Thanks.

A guy I know just showed me his 9mm Kahr. He said it shoots great. It did seem to be nice and compact however it also seemed fairly heavy for its size. 0 -
I like the Kahr line of fire arms alot. The PM40 Or the P9 are the way to go for CCW. The SS is a bit on the heavy side. My 2 cents. [8D]

I have both the 40 and the 9mm Kahrs. They are very accurate, concealable and highly dependable. When concealed they are a joy to carry all day long.I use Federal Hydra Shoks in both. Never had a chambering or ejection problem. 0 -
I bought a PM40 in November. I have to say I am more than happy with my choice. I was thinking about a small Glock 10mm, but a friend talked me out of it. The gun is fun to shoot(but so is every other gun) and very reliable. For concealled carry I bought a Don Hume clip holster for inside the pants at the small of my back.
The recoil is a little snappy, but manageable.
Definately a good choice.
You can't judge a book by its cover, but that doesn't mean you can't do a report on it.0 -
I have a K40 and think it is near the top in its class although a bit on the heavy side.
