UGH! I hope I can still maintain my dignity on the board after this. Taking that POS apart means that you MUST HAVE a 3/32" pin punch and a hammer. Clear the gun (its probably jammed anyway!) and then pull the slide all the way to the rear. Slowly allow the slide to move forward about 1/8 of an inch and you'll see the slide retaining pin on the back of the frame. Drive the pin out with the punch and remove it from the frame. Now lift up on the back of the slide until it stops and then move it forward off the frame. You can then remove the striker assembly from the rear of the slide and the recoil spring from the front of the frame. Reassemble (if you must-- far better to leave it in pieces) is the exact reverse. Good luck and don't tell anyone I was the one who gave you these instructions!

I heard that Mark, did you use your own Stallard to coach him on this?[:D] Might look up the Hi-point Firearms website, they probably have instructions and pictures available. Sadly, the Hi-point was an improvement on the Stallard design[xx(]

Damn Joey, why did you have to read this post??? No I DID NOT use my own Stallard...I've never owned one of those "things" but I do know at least two guys who bought them (NOT FROM ME in case you are getting any ideas) and had me take them apart with the help of the instructions provived with the gun (if such a POS can be called a gun). The company shold have included a punch with each pistol in order to allow the owner to strip it down after shooting. Perhaps Stallard knew that no one would actually want to bother taking those pistols apart after they shot them (assuming the gun fired at all).

Master- Actually if you are able to fire more than two or three rounds through the gun, it will probably disassemble itself!!Mark can be very helpful as he is an avid Wyoming Arms fan....

    Love them Pre-64's!!!!-Bob
