    Damn good question; my references don't say when the changeover occured, but it makes sense that it was about the time we entered the war and the Thompson began to be issued in large numbers to the Marines and airborne units. The shot versions were all 20 rounders as far as I know, since they were strictly for use with the pistol as a "survival" load. I see you made the transition over from "Another" Auction site . . . .
