Browning fore arm I think?
Hi i have an old Browning Forearm and can't figure out whats it's for Looks just like A-5 with finger groove and the Browning checkering But it has a metal U-ring at the receiver with 2 1/8 inch pins on both sides and at the top at the mag. cap end a little brass nut and 1/16th pin and just back on the sides about an 1 inch down a hole through both sides with a metal ring around them the measurements are 10 1/2 long 1 1/4 wide and the barrel hole is 7/8 th I have 7 A-5's in 12 16 and 20 1950's and 1960's guns and none have the metal on them and none of the Browning books I have mentioned this I've looked on the guns on GB and renington model 11"s can't find it CAN ANY BODY HELP thanks Lee Tenold [:(][?][?]

Take a look at this current GB auction. I know it's an over/under, but look at the pic of the forearm and the explanation in the description. It references the use of metal "horseshoe rings" on the earliest Browning forearms. I am not a browning expert but I love their old guns. Though you might be interested.
