    Chad,

I think the reason that everyone is passing on this, is that there isn't any viable information to use, to give you a good answer.

The .308 Norma Mag. is a cartridge not a rifle or firearm. For anyone to help you assess a value for this firearm, you have to supply more information than just the cartridge name since lots of different rifles can be chambered for this cartridge.

    You need to look:
    - on the barrel, for information that is roll marked there.
    - on the barrel, look for proof marks in front of the receiver.
    - on the receiver, usually the left side on a right hand rifle.
    - on the receiver, on top of the front ring.
    - on the receiver, on the bottom when taken out of the stock.

Those are the basic places to look. If you have trouble with the markings, take some digital photos and post them here. The more information, the better. You will be amazed at the amount of information available from the members of this site.

If you can't accomplish this, then you are left with physically taking the rifle to a respected dealer and probably paying them a fee to assess the rifle's value.

That's the best I can do for now.

Great cartridge. Mine is built on a 1903/A3. Even with a 2groove barrel, and these old eyes, I can bust a clay pigeon at 150 yards, then proceed to bust the pieces.

It ain't what you shoot, it's what you hit.
