Colt 25-20?

In shop for a mainspring replacement. Appeared to be a colt official police revolver, but chambered for the 25-20 cartridge. Barrel six inches, no markings. cylinder did not appear to be bushed. This gun matched exactly any official poice that I ouned or have seen. Replaced the spring while the ouner waited. Have no Idea who or what the history is.
Question. Did colt ever make a revolver in 25-20 caliber? Thanks.

  I read somewhere they did make a few, but did not know if they were sold retail.

  What you have could have been made up by anyone using a 25-20 barrel, a rechambered 22lr cylinder and a centerfire frame. Since there are no markings I would suspect this to be the case.
