wolf performance ammo
Other than that fact that I can not reload the steel case, Is there any thing wrong with this ammo? Does the steel case damage the guns action, feed ramp, extractor, etc? How about fowling and corrosion?

all seem to work fine in my guns but it does seem to be a bit more dirty. 0 -
With anything firearm related, you get (usually) what you pay for. Cheap ammo will probably feed, fire, and function in almost any arm chambered for it; more expensive ammo will probably just do it a little more accurately, with the benefit of being non-corrosive or reloadable.
I use Wolf almost exclusively in my SKS's and AR clones.

I have Wolf in 7.62 x 39, .45, and .223.
Never had a problem. In fact, in one of my .45's it seems to shoot better than the high dollar stuff...
Don't know about extractor and chamber wear issues. Expert opinion is needed in that area.

Its cheap and it shoots. Its the least accurate ammo I've ever used, but it shoot reliably in everything I've put it in. 0 -
I use it often in my sks and 45. Works just fine. Does however seem to leave a film on the feed ramp in my 45. Im actually working on that problem now. A dremel tool and buffer they say. This problem has occured after 1500-2000 rounds so its not really a big deal. At $7.50 a box, I think its worth the effort. As for accuracy I can shoot a 5 inch group from 25 yards with standard military sights. Not too good but still in the kill zone.[;)]

wolf , performance, AND ammo ,should never be used in the same sentence
I must have typed on this subject a hundred times in the past few years , but here goes
Gunrunner that film is lacquer left from the firing of the round ,that they use to coat the bullets ,it heat it up then melts it and leaves it behind
The reason gun manufactures chose brass a hundred years ago was because brass will flex and stretch ,steel will not ,and this is why most ar-15 guns cannot use wolf ammo ,{some can ,only by chance} the tolerance of the gun is not as forgiving as a sks ,and with out the flex of brass you will put wear on what ever part of a auto the touched the steel case over time ,could be a long time but it will happen
Do you use a steel cleaning brush on your gun when cleaning ?
No ,and for obvious reasons ,then why would a person subject there firearm to a steel case at full pressure being extracted through their breach touching parts of their gun
I refuse to use it ,even if it were free ,because my guns were not
yep its me ,same one for 4 years now0 -
I have a Colt AR and it will shoot the Wolf ammo, but I don't let it eat much at a setting.
Have two DPMS AR's and both of them choke on Wolf ammo....
Know of a couple of other Colts that will shoot the Wolf ammo.
I personally use it only in the sks and ak guns...
