Ammo question regarding CCI .22LR Stinger ammo

I normally use the Remington and Winchester Thunderbolt 22LR for my Ruger KP4C. The gunsmith recommended that I try CCI 22LR Stingers.
He said that accuracy and range ,along with velocity, will improve.
What can you guys tell me about this CCI ammo? Is it marginally or substantially better than the Winchester, Thunderbolt, and Federal value packs that I use. Thanks so much for the feedback.

  I think that this ammo is good for hunting or long range target shooting. (100 + yards) But it all depends on your rifle. My Ruger 10/22 with a Butler Creek barrel likes this ammo. But my groups on decrease 1/8" with it. So I stick with the Federal bulk ammo. What I am trying to say is try it out and see if your rifle likes it. I know that I would use cci ammo to hunt with. My 2 cents worth

  remember in addition to all the advice thus far, stingers are hi-v bullets.

  Another thing about Stingers are the bullets are lighter and the case is longer.

  you might want too venture over too www.rimfirecentral.com this is a great place too learn all about rimfires and the ammo.but another great accurate and cheap ammo is winchester dynapoints.kmart sells them and some walmart stores have them.prob the best bulk ammo i have seen.hope this helps don

  Stingers are great hunting rounds, with 2 problems. 1 as already pointed out, the case is longer than long rifle rounds, and some guns will not chamber them. 2 During sub-zero hunting, either the velocity decreases, or the hollow point gets filled up with the animals frozen fur. During jack rabbit hunts in January and Feburary, when its like, 20 below, rabbits do not respond to solid chest hits. During the summer they blow apart. I have heard that cci uses blue dot powder in this ammo, and it is well known blue dot is terrible temper sensitive.

  I agree with the dynapoints. I get them at walmart.
  My Ruger MK II seems to like them.
