O/U problems
Couple weeks ago, I went out rabbit huntin, fired once, and my gun double fired. Now the opening lever needs to be forced over as far as possible to open it, which was never true before, and it doesnt fire...trigger doesnt seem to pull all the way....any ideas whats wrong? Thanks!

shoey-- is the gun unloaded? Be sure that it is and take the stock off. It sounds like something is broken or de-ranged in the trigger/lock assembly. If you get the stock off you might see what's wrong and be able to fix it.
What make/model gun is it? There are probably several gents on this forum that can tell you sump'n good if you give them a little more info.
If that doesn't work, looks like a trip to the local gunsmith.
Good luck ,

Its an EAA/Baikal.....forget the model, in 20 gauge. I need to find a long phillips driver so I can get the stock off and check it out....thanks...

Thanks for the input. Forgot, yes, the gun is unloaded....had to get it open in the field to carry it in the car...does anyone have any idea how much this might cost at a gunsmith....I know it depends on the guy, but at least a ballpark figure? Thanks again.

There seems to be a problem with a few of the newer Baikil O/U that I know of in regards to the problems you have had. I see this as a product liability and this should be address to the manufacturer. There have been three sent back in from our local gunshop here and there has been a very short turnaround time in the guns being fixed and sent back. I urge you to contact the manufacturer. 0 -
sent an e-mail last night, now I'm waiting for a response.....makes me feel a little better that I'm not the only one, and that they're fixing em...
