Your shotgun is what was known in the trade as a "Hardware Store Shotgun". These were inexpensive, utility-grade guns, made under hundreds of different trade names, by a handful of manufacturers such as Crescent, Davenport, and Hopkins & Allen. These were usually sold by hardware chains, individual hardware stores, catalog merchants, and firearms wholesalers. The value of these guns is very nominal.

Central Arms Co. was a trade name used by the W.H. Davenport Firearms Co. in Norwich, CT, on shotguns made for the Shapleigh Hardware Co. of St. Louis. Davenport was taken over in 1901 by Hopkins & Allen. Most likely made between 1880 and 1915....and most likely NOT safe to shoot with modern ammunition.
