FAL Experts, how do you determine inch or metric?

How do I determine if my DSA receiver FAL is inch pattern or metric pattern?

  1. Email/call DSA and ask them. They probably can supply either.
  2. English/Canadian/Indian/Aussi L1A1 varients mostly had folding carry handles and charging handles. Fal/metric charging handles often did not fold.
  3. The way I've always told the difference is in the rear stock shape where it butts up to the lower reciever. Look at some pics and you should see what I mean.

  Every DSA I have ever seen has been Metric. Don't go by the charging handle as there are folding aftermarket ones for the Metric.

  Saxon, all of my metrics were full auto capable at some point, as the kits came with a disconector, and have a 3 position selector.
