Contender Barrel Prices
I'm new to Contenders and the spread of prices for used barrels on the various sites (eBay, GA, GB, etc.) have me puzzled. Is $175+ shipping reasonable for a 21" .22LR (non-Match), blue, without sights? It's described as "Mint".

that would be at the upper end , new ones are selling for around 225 0 -
Thanks for the reply. On top of that $175, I'd have to add about $35 for a set of sights. That would bring it to $210 for a used barrel.
Might as well buy a new one......0 -
Even some of the new ones are sold w/o sights at the $200+ level.
Be patient and one will come up for auction with sights in the $175 to $195 range in like new to NIB condition. Also, if you have gun shows near where you live go to them, good chance you can find what you looking for there for what it would cost you (with shipping and insurance) from an auction ... if not a little less, if your lucky.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
As ContenderMan says, just be patient.....I have purchased T/C barrels (10") from $85.00 to $125, all in great shooting condition, some even in excellent condition. Do a search for Contender barrels on your favorite auction sites and save them to Favorites, then you can check a couple of times a week, bid on the ones that interest you. It took me 2-3 months, but I finally came up with a .22LR barrel for $125.00 in great shape. Emery
