Trying to identify one I can't find in any of the books. DA 5 shot revolver-nickel-marked on top strap"Hopkins&Allen Mfg.Co-pat March 28
1871/38 Cal Centre Fire-XL 5 Double Action" This one has an ejector housing with rod&head assembly made onto the base pin. Has a Merwin &
Hulbert type release on the left side for the base pin ejector combo.
Ejector housing has pat date "Apr 28 1884" Also has a loading gate like a SAA. I am told the ejection device has it's own patent. But is it orginal on any production guns ? I've never seen another one. Works great, cute little gun ! HELP!

Are you sure this isn't a MH? Hopkins and Allen made the MH's also in 32 and 38. The MH loading gate slides downward.

There's a book you might consider obtaining ( interlibrary loan ? ) by Charles Carder, "Hopkins & Allen, Revolvers & Pistols".
