Mossberg problems
I know some one that just got a new mossberg he did this because he had one for about 25 years and the ejecter rods finaly wore out on it(but he also has one that he had for about 15 years that i hunted with for about 5 and it fires just fine but it only is chambered for 3inch). well any way the new gun will not load the third shell and if it keeps doing it its going to end up in the lake. so do any of you guys have any idea what he should do. should he just send it back for repairs or if he should just trade it off and get something new?

Remove the end cap and take the plug out and reinsert it. Sometimes the plug gets caught in the spring which might not allow the third round to be inserted. If that doesnt work try leaving the plug out and loading the magazine without it. If it loads properly your plug may just be worn/defective which could cause it to catch. If it doesnt work without the plug pull the spring out and see if anything is lodged in the magazine. Thats what I would do.

When you examined his gun firsthand, and eliminated the plug as a problem, why didn't you suggest your solution[?][xx(]

Nice suggestion. It very well could be a weak spring. I dont know about you but Before I go replacing parts I like to troubleshoot and do a thourough examination. This way your 100% positive about the problem you have, and your probably going to learn something in the process that may help prevent the problem from occuring in the future. In the process of trying to help someone I also try to stay away from any derogatory or demeaning comments or words which may prevent future posts by people that need help.

sorry guys. it just seemed to me that the 3rd. shell wasn't getting to the carrier. that is the spring not having enough thrust to push it completly out of the tube. once again i do apologise 0 -
[:D] If it is a weak spg. just strecth the sucker a bit and reinstall it. should get back rock and roll'n again, unless they put a short spg. in from the factory.[:D].[;)]
