    45GAP case is 1mm (or is it 1.5mm?) shorter than the 45ACP case. This allows it to be sold in countries that forbid the sale of guns that can chamber military rounds. It also lets the grip/frame be slightly smaller in size.
    Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

    Guess I have to check my brass after I pick it up real well next time I go to the range. Sounds like another scam for the makers of the plastic wonder to make more $

    How long has it been on the market? I just saw one today.. Will the GAP fit into a .45 ACP pistol???? Will it shoot?

    Thats gonna be a pain in the butt, separating the brass if you are shooting 45ACP and the guy next to you is shooting the 45 GAP! Another solution to a non existent problem, the 45 GAP!

    Guess every mfg. getting their own ammo is the up and coming thing.

    What "gap" does this round fill?

    Performance is really about the same as the 45 acp, one loading it's a little better, another loading the "acp" is better, but the differences are pretty darn slight.

    Can't see myself buying one of these ...

    I think if they aren't gonna improve on the .45 cal. then they shouldn't mess with it. Make one the length of the 10mm casing that's a full .45 cal. diameter - that'd get my attention! [:p]

    My guess is that those desiring a larger caliber in a smaller frame that fits their hand will find this attractive. It's just another niche market for the moment.

    Bambi ... try 45 win mag it's about the size cart. you mentioned and has about double the performance of the 45 acp
