yugo sks

For the last time, I want to buy this Yugo sks(http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Yugoslavian_Model_59_66_7_62x39_SKS_Rifle.html), i asked my local dealer and he said that was afuwl cheap in price. Are these guns cheap or am i getting jipped off or what? I just dont want the gun to blow up or not work. Thankyou.

  How diffucult is it to change out the stock magazine to a detachable mag. on Yugo SKS ? and is there a preference on the manufacture of the mag to use?

  Check to be sure that your gas valve is open. It's right where your grenade sights fold down, and should be turned to the right. If it's in the center closed position, the Yugo acts as a single-shot.
  
  As for the recoil spring, when tense, it could have some "waviness" to it, as long as it's all on its guide rod, it's OK.

  The previous poster's has given you excellent advice.
  
  I would also urge you to go to this site, they give you disassembley and reassembly instructions with pictures so you can go over each individual part to find out why your SKS is malfunctioning.
