Videotaping Matches

I just purchased a Samsung SL-C810 or SC-L810. In any event, I was going to take it to an IDPA match. Will there be any possible problems or damage to the mic or recorder due to the sound of the firing? Thanks.

  I do not know about your equipment, but we have had all kinds of matches taped, including a machine gun match. Never heard of any problems.

  You shouldn't have any problems unless your gear encounters, I've done several. Also I tape students to emphasize presentation, stance and grip details.
  
  If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!
