The original Dumoulin arm-making business dates to the middle of the 19th Century.

After the Father who started the business died his sons took over the business.

There was a F. Dumoulin making arms in Liege at the end of the 19th Century. What his relationship was to Ernest & Henri, the more famous of the Dumoulin family is a good question?

The knowledgeable folks at this link might be able to help you?

First, there are some points that you fail to make clear. A full description of the piece would be nice because it could be anything from what we might call a clunker to a rather nice gun. You also state the presence of proofs. I would ask that you be more specific.

Now for the good news... Even a 90% clunker in .410 is drawing interest right now. In other words it will draw double the $150.00 of a 12 ga. sibling. As quality gets better the value increases.

If your little double reaches the stage of being a mid-line gun, then you're in for a nice surprise. Nothing to plan retirement around, but easily double the value of a clunker.
