What model Stevens shotgun is this???
I recently found an old Stevens single 12 ga. at a gun show that was in georgeous condition. I didn't really need or want it, but the price was good and it looked like it needed a good home. It has no model numbers, serial numbers or the like. Apparently this was common with these old hallway howitzers. It has all the Stevens markings, but aside from that, the only thing on the barrel is "Patented Aug. 12, 1913". I found a picture of one in poor condition for sale on the net. Any help identifying this old girl would be appreciated. Never know when I might need a part for it.
Thanks!

Any other opinions or additional information from anyone? 0 -
HHmmmm.
You say the patent on it is 1913?
The 107 wasn't made until 1937.
There is also the mod.94,but it wasn't made until 1939.
Is it possible that it was in fact patent'ed 24 or more years
before it was actually produced?
The mod.107 is the earliest produced('37)in any of my books.
Just curious,

That's what it says, "Patented Aug. 12, 1913". It's the spittin' image of the one in the picture, only prettier. 0 -
stevens made quite a few models around that time period. Can't say for sure, but looks like a model 970.I am baseing my "guess" on the shape of the buttstock where it fits to the frame. 0 -
Then again,in reference to my previous post,my"Savage and Stevens Arms
Collectors History" had the 107 listed in their 1929 catalog.
Who knows[?][?]

I wish you guys would figure this out. I'm sitting here looking at one in my hand that belonged to my grandfather that looks almost Like the one in the picture. I've never been able to find info on it either. It has no model number on it but on the top of the barrel it reads: *choke bored* Pat'd Dec.11 1900* ---- It has the same address on the receiver, The name says: J.Stevens Arms & Tool Co.
I know it's value is only sentimental but it's always fun to know these things............[8D]0 -
I'm still trying to find out more about it, but no luck so far. Seems like it's an early version of the Model 94 from all I can gather. 0
