Smith &Wesson Old Dominion Engravers?
Can anyone help me find A Smith and Wesson revolver that was put out by Old Dominion Engravers in Lynchburg Va. in 1991. It was a Cockers Commemorative. It had a Rooster and the words (WORLD'S OLDEST SPECTATOR SPORT) and crossed gaffs on the Cylinders. I don't know the model # but it was a hammerless model 5 shot and gold plated by Old dominion. If i can't find the pistol would like to contact anyone from Old Dominion to see if they can give a lead to find one of the guns.

Sorry, friend.
I tried a few combinations of search words on Dogpile and google. Not a hint!
If they produced 50 or 100, they are in private collections and will surface when the owner has his "estate sale".0 -
Fellow by the name of Ken Hurst was the founder of Old Dominion engravers, he left some time later and now is doing business as Hurst Engraving in N.C. near Kitty Hawk, I'm not sure if he has the records or not,if you ever need a S/S rifle engraved he is the man. 0 -
Jody Commander is right on with his info. I'm live in Lynchburg and knew Ken personally. If I'm not mistaken, the S&W guns were done by Old Dominion on a contract basis for S&W, so the records my be at S&W. There are, however, some of the original Old Dominion engravers still here. If you can't get your question answered by S&W, email me through my profile and see if I can find out from them. 0
