Has anyone shot the Ruger 22/45 KP4? Please rate.
I recently purchased this pistol and would like to hear feedback from those who have shot with it before. Thanks for the feedback.

I have fired one a couple of times at IPSC type matches, I don't find the grip angle nearly as comfortable as the origional standard and MK2 models, but the mag release is much more convienient on the 22-45's. Accuracy seemed on par with other Rugers, very respectable.

I have one of these and find it great fun to shoot.
It feeds all kinds of ammo and I find it is accurate
enough for what I use it for, a fun day of plinking.
Hope this helps.

I have shot one in competition for over a year. Very accurate right out of the box, good aftermarket parts. Only negative was the trigger can't be easily reworked to eliminate the take up, but there are aftermarket parts to do the job. I like the grip vs. the standard Ruger, but that's all preference. Great gun for knockabout or competition on a starting level. 0 -
I own one and it is a good pistol. I taught my kid how to shoot a pistol with it.
Mine is a little finicky with ammo. It really only likes to eat federal...
Putting it back together after cleaning can be a real onager the first few times.
Accurate right out of the box.

good pistol. I like the MkII Competition a little better.

I like that model as well. I checked it out in December when I was
looking for my first pistol for plinking.
I ended up buying a MKII 512. I am having fun with it,and so far
its performed flawlessly. I'm getting fairly accurate with it.

Most people still favor the MkIIs but the 1911 style grip is attractive. Really depends on whether you are 1911 centric or just want a great 22. My MkIIs are fitted with target style grips. Clark used to make a 45 shape grip for the Mk II but these are sadly no longer available.

I had one of these guns. I had a cheap red dot scope mounted on it and with a rest, a squirrel couldn't get high enough in a tree to survive. Have shot the Mk series pistols for years. Really liked the grip on this pistol. Points well and shoots, well..... Like a ruger!!!!

I've got one with the Bull bbl. Shoots great, probably better than I do. I got it from a man who was having problems with it feeding. I cleaned it thoroughly, Keep it clean and have never had a problem.

I have shot the 22/45 since about its second year of production. It will hit anything that I realiably hold on. Has never jammed and best of all likes the cheap wal-mart ammo in the milk carton. 0
