J - lock removal ??!!??

    Oh yeah... this is an 870 express combo I'm talking about.

    I've not done it on the shotguns. On the rifle you just replace the rear shroud with a cover or you have to replace the back part of the bolt to get rid of it all (instead of just hiding the firing pin lock part).

    I'd say you could find used parts to do it, but I do know they advertise the assembly with ISS (integrated safety system), so I'm not sure...

    It matters not how many times you've been knocked down. What matters is how many times you've gotten back up.

    The easiest way is to change out the complete trigger guard assembly
    with a pre-J lock one (all 12ga 870 express guards interchange) than sell your j locking one to regain part of your investment (there are people who like them),Why not just unlock it and toss away the key?

    I was only curious as to the depth and cost of replacing the j-lock, it is set to unlock and the keys will never be used by me again.
