Extended eye relief scope for Win Model 94
A guy shooting next to me at the 100 yard range had a scope mounted on his Winchester model 94 ahead of the action, actually mounted on the barrel. He gave me the information on the scope and mount but it was lost in moving and I'd really like to give the set up a try. I was amazed at how quickly the rifle pointed and how fast you can pick up the target with the extended eye relief scope. To say nothing of the improved accuracy of the 30/30 round. Any thoughts guys?

The scope will have noting to do with the accuracy of the 30/30 round, that's a function of ammunition and gun guality. However, optics can improve the capability of the shooter.
Any competent gunsmith can create one of these setups for you.

An LER (Long Eye Relief) or EER (Extended Eye Relief) scope, such as those sold by Leupold or Burris will work for this purpose, even some pistol scopes. I have a Burris 2x7 Signature Pistol scope installed on My Marlin 1895 LTD1 45-70 with an Ashley Scout mount and it works just fine.
